Why do renters always retaliate when complained about and act very selfish around home owners?

I have some of the most selfish and annoying noisy neighbors who don't give a damn about anyone but themselves. When I actually complain even nicely they retaliate or start slamming doors and windows etc when ever I walk by for complaining.
